Christine R. (Rothman) Buscaj, 66, of Santa Fe, formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on Sept. 18, 2018, with her husband, Herman, daughters, Heather Noonan, Emilie and her husband, Shannon at her side.

A celebration of life service will be on Oct. 13 in Denver, Colo.

Chris was born in Sioux City, on Oct. 5, 1951, to Norman and Catherine. She graduated from Heelan High School with the class of 1969.

She courageously beat breast cancer for 15 and a half years. While fighting cancer, she visited 26 countries including the family living and teaching for one year in Turkey. She made friends and enjoyed cultures all over the world.

Chris worked prominently as a commercial interior designer in Denver including her partnership in Buscaj Andrews Architecture and Design.

Chris enjoyed all aspects of a Colorado life including hiking, backpacking, skiing, volleyball and golf. She particularly enjoyed the arts and traveling. She spent countless hours reading and listening to Carole King, the Eagles and the Rolling Stones. She loved and was loved by all.

She is also survived by her father, Rocky (Joann) Rothman; brothers, Rick (Deb) Rothman, Greg (Lisa) Rothman, and Jay (Lori) Rothman and their families.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine "Kay" Rothman; and grandparents, Lloyd and Bessie Rothman.
