Norma McNamara, 76, beloved wife and mother, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, in her home surrounded by her family in Fontana, Calif.

Norma was born to Jesse and Ruth Hagerdon on Oct. 6, 1941, the fourth of five children in Smithland. She married Albert McNamara on July 22, 1961.

Norma was a graduate of Doane College and had a multi-faceted career of teaching, accounting, assorted office work, and managerial roles. She was an outstanding homemaker and cook. She enjoyed working with her succulent garden and thrived on loving her family.

Norma is survived by her husband, Albert McNamara; her three children and their families, Kelly, Mike, Michael, and Taylor Bell, Debby, William, and Parker Duncan, and Bill, Kelly, Victoria, and Gavin McNamara; and three brothers, a sister, and two brothers-in-law, Richard Hagerdon, William Hagerdon, Ronald Hagerdon, Janet Bennett, Tom McNamara, and Jim McNamara; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Merle Duncan; her niece, Deanna Peterson; and her nephew, Mark Hagerdon.
