Funeral Services Held Monday for Lola Boggs

Funeral services for Lola Boggs, 93, of Moville, were held Monday October 26, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. at the Moville United Methodist Church. Rev. Orrin T. Potter officiated. Interment was in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home of Moville.

Gary Boggs, soloist, sang ‘The Lord’s Prayer” and ‘In The Garden’. Betty Rhue was organist.

Casketbearers were Messrs. Burton Weaver, Larry Hansen, Ray Johnson, Don Boggs, Geoff Wiggs and Duane Lau.

Mrs. Boggs, the former Lola Galusha, was born August 19, 1899, at Clarence, Missouri, daughter of Robert Brown and Anna Mary (VanBuskirk) Galusha. She married Roy Jennings Boggs February 18, 1920 in Sioux City. He died 1972. She lived in Moville and Lawton all her life.

She was a member of the Moville United Methodist Church and the Eldridge Circle.

Mrs. Boggs died Thursday October 22, 1992 in a Sioux City hospital of long illness.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Vivian) Wiggs of Porterville, California, Naomi Jeanne Boggs of Moville and Mrs. Willard (Lorayne) Ugulano of Azusa, California; two sons and their wives, Wilbur and JoAnn of Kingsley, Iowa, and LeRoy and Carla of Moville; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six sisters and a brother.
