LeRoy ‘Lee’ Ernest Krayenhagen.66, of Moville, died Friday, February 9, 2001, at his residence after a two-year illness of cancer.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2001 at Moville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Werley officiating. Burial was at 1:30 p.m. in Ida Grove Cemetery in Ida Grove, Iowa.

Pallbearers were Rich Uhl, Dennis Mohr, Spencer Hasbrouck, Tim Kollbaum, Les Rubendall and Doanld Mullin.

Mr. Krayenhagen was born August 10, 1934, in Correctionville, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Edna (Schroeder) Krayenhagen. He attended grade school and high school in Ida Grove. He married Donna Rubendall on April 21, 1957, in Mapleton, Iowa. He was a carpenter in the Danbury and Ida Grove areas for several years. He worked for Custom Woodworks in Sioux City for 17 years.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He enjoyed woodworking, growing roses and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; four sons and their wives, Terry and Linda of Westminister, Colorado, Scot and Lissette of Sioux City, Brian and Jodie of Brighton, Colorado, and Barry and Cherrie of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Morris Hasbrouck and Darlene Gates, both of Ida Grove, and Judy Mullin Sioux Rapids, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Karen Krayenhagen of Ida Grove; seven grandchildren, Carrie Biesecker, Carrissa Buckholtz, Travis, Jodi, Beth, Amy and Brianna Krayenhagen; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Cindy; and a brother, Kenneth.
