Leah J. Ford, 77, Sioux City, died Monday, May 23, 1994, at a Sioux City hospital after a short illness.

A memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Morningside. The body was cremated and burial will be private. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Ford, the former Leah J. Donnell, was born Feb. 25, 1917, in Moville, Iowa. She married Glen V. Ford June 11, 1941, in Ponca, Neb. The couple made their home in Sioux City.

She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she was active in Circle groups.

Survivors include her husband; two sons and their wives, Scot and Catherine of South Sioux City and Ross and Peggy of Sioux City; a stepdaughter, Glennis Daniels of Ida Grove, Iowa; three brothers, Leonard Donnell and his wife, Alma, of Sioux City, John Donnell and his wife, Mabel, of Kingsley, Iowa, and Robert Donnell of Bull Head City, Ariz.; a sister, Marge Green of Sioux City; nine grandchildren; and give great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Martin and Willis B. Jr.

A memorial has been established in her name with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
