Funeral services held Friday for Mrs. Paul Sulsberger
Funeral services for Mrs. Paul Sulsberger, 68, 4200 Garretson Avenue, were held at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church at Climbing Hill. The Rev. Edrie A. Regier officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Nelson-Berger Funeral home in Morningside.
Pallbearers were Steve, Todd and Alvin Sulsberger, Ray Steinhoff, Carey Conover and Tim Jackes.
Mrs. Sulsberger was found dead at her residence Wednesday. Dr. Thomas Coriden, Woodbury County medical examiner, said death was caused by a heart attack.
The former Harriet May Lowry, Mrs. Sulsberger was born August 23, 1903 at Cambridge, Ohio. She graduated from Climbing Hill High School. She was married to Mr. Sulsberger March 8, 1929 in Sioux City. The couple farmed in the Climbing Hill and Hornick area. Mr. Sulsberger died in 1954.
For nine years Mrs. Sulsberger taught school at Oto and for the past six years she was a substitute teacher in Sioux City.
Survivors include a son, Roger and two grandchildren.
Note: She died Wednesday, December 29, 1971.
