Dorothy May Goodrich Fish, 1897-1981

Climbing Hill, Iowa – Mrs. Paul (Dorothy May) fish, 83, of Climbing Hill, Iowa, died Saturday at a Sioux City hospital of a sudden illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church at Climbing Hill with the Rev. Ray Stallons officiating. Burial will be in the Climbing Hill Cemetery under the direction of the W. Harry Christy Funeral, 1801 Morningside Ave., Sioux City.

Mrs. Fish was born July 7, 1897, in Woodbury County. She was married to Paul E. Fish March 5, 1919, in Sioux City. He died Jan. 25, 1972. She taught in rural schools in Moville and Anthon and was a member of the First Baptist Church and friendly Circle of the Senior Citizens at Climbing Hill.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Jensen of Sioux City; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Lyle of Moville; a brother, Platt Goodrich of Climbing Hill, and a half-brother, Warner Lyons of Hillsboro, Ore.
