Funeral Services Held Saturday for Dorothy Andrews

Funeral services for Dorothy Evelyn Andrews, 82 of Moville, were held Saturday, April 7, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. in the Moville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Travis G. Cannaday officiated. Interment was in Arlington Cemetery, Moville, under the direction of the McCulloch-Wavrin Funeral Home of Moville.
Mrs. Wm. McElrath Jr was organist.

Honorary casketbearers were Messrs. Joseph Tevis, Stephen Ferguson and Klint Goodchild.

Casketbearers were Messrs. Mark and Steven Williams, Dan Washburn, John Pearson, Eron Andrews and Robert Gray.

Mrs. Andrews, the former Dorothy McElrath, was born March 20, 1902, the daughter of Nathan Williams and Lillian Young McElrath in Moville. She graduated from Moville High School and Morningside College and taught school for several years in the rural Moville area. She married Edward Andrews November 16, 1923, in Moville. They farmed near Moville and Sioux City. He died July 2, 1970, in rural Sioux City and she moved to Moville at that time.

Mrs. Andrews was a member of the United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Arlington Chapter Order of Eastern Star of Moville, and various clubs.

Mrs. Andrews died Thursday, April 5, 1984 in a Sioux City hospital.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Frances) Solomon of Sioux City and Mrs. John (Joyce) Williams of Lawton; on son, Edward of Kingsley; one brother, Glen of Moville; 10 grandchildren and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, two sisters and three brothers.
