Clifford E. Dunnington, 68, 701 Jones St., Sioux City cattle buyer for more than 30 years, died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

During his career, Mr. Dunnington was a cattle buyer for Long & Hansen Live Stock Commission, Flynn Commission Co. and Rice Bros. Commission Co. before retiring in 1962.

He was born March 25, 1900, at Luton and had lived in Sioux City for 35 years. He married Hazel Youngren Oct. 6, 1928, at Sioux City.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Belsky of Flint, Mich.; three sons, Robert of Sioux City, George of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Gayle of Huntsville, Ala.; three brothers, Perle and Clarence, both of Pierson, and Lyle of Lake Benton, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Pieper and Mrs. Enid Mattox, both of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Anderson Funeral Home.
