Funeral services to be Friday for Clarence Clause
Funeral services for Clarence D. Clause of Moville will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 5, 1971 at Moville. The Rev. Dr. John A. Dowd will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington cemetery under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home of Moville.
Clarence D. Clause, 84, Moville, died Monday evening at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness.
Mr. Clause was born July 28, 1886, at Lewisvlle, Ohio. He married Margaret Zimmerman April 2, 1908, at Lewisville. They moved to Iowa and to Woodbury County in 1916 and farmed in the Moville area before moving into Moville in 1925.
Mr. Clause was a member of the Eldridge United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose, and Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include three sons, Floyd of Sioux City and Vernon and Bernard, both of Concord, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Irene) Boggs of Bronson; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
