Funeral Services Held Monday For Charlotte Beymer

Funeral services for Charlotte C. Beymer, 93, of Lawton, were held Monday, March 22, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton. Rev. Bruce Jackson officiated. Interment was in Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City under the direction of Christy-Smith Funeral Home Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Special music was by Bev Zenor.

Casketbearers were: Bill Goodwin Sr., Bill Goodwin Jr., Don Kamm, Lawrence Blackmore, Ron and Roger Wieck.

Mrs. Beymer was born July 11, 1905, in Lawton, Iowa, to Gustave Adolph and Margaret Grace (Yockey) Kamm. She was a lifetime resident of Lawton. She received her teaching certificate from Morningside College and taught rural school in Banner Township for a short while. She married Clay Beymer January 29, 1927, in Sioux City. She then became a housewife. He died June 28, 1989, in Sioux City.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Lawton.

She enjoyed flowers and animals and was a member of Lawton Garden Club.

Mrs. Beymer died Thursday, March 18, 1899 at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Trometer; a brother, Carl Kamm; a nephew, Leonard Trometer; and a niece, Kathryn Hall.

A memorial has been established in her name with Countryside Retirement Home.
