Funeral services held Friday for Mrs. Wayne Eberly

Funeral services for Mrs. Wayne L. Eberly of Lawton ere held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 1969 from the Lawton Community Presbyterian Church. The Rev. R. Carter Blaisdell officiated and burial was made in Arlington cemetery at Moville under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home.

Mrs. W. Robert Herbold, as soloist, sang ‘The Strike Is O’er the Battle Won’. Mrs. Art B. Wilson was organist.

Casketbearers were Messrs. E.L. Glover, Dwight Haskins, Walter I. Jensen, Theodore Karrer, Lloyd Lighthall and Darrell Wilson.

Mrs. Eberly, 47, of rural Lawton died Wednesday, August 27, 1969 at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

The former Bernice Bleasdell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Bleasdell of Moville, was born July 25, 1922, near Moville. She moved to the farm where she still resided 2 ˝ miles northwest of Lawton with her parents at the age of 5. She was graduated from Lawton High School in 1943. She was married to Mr. Eberly Sept. 20, 1945, at Lawton.

Mrs. Eberly was a member of the Lawton Community Presbyterian Church, and taught in the Sunday School for many years. She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Wink Sparks Post No. 303 of Moville.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Beverly and Rita Kay, and a son, Ronald, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Bleasdell of Moville; and a sister, Mrs. Phillip (Letha) Rathbun of North Edwards, Calif.
