Rites Held for Anna Lohse

Mrs. Anna Lohse, 86, a lifelong resident of Wednesday county, died Saturday evening at the home of her son, Adolph in Sioux City after a seven year illness.

Mrs. Lohse was born in Sioux City March 15, 1871, and lived on a farm south of Moville for 30 years. She returned to Sioux City seven years ago.

She was married to Henry W. Lohse March 11, 1897, in the Peiro community of southeast Woodbury County.
Mr. Lohse died in 1927 Mrs. Lohse was a member of the United Brethren church, Moville, and of its Ladies Aid society, of the Moville Rebekah lodge and of the Royal Neighbors in Moville.

Survivors include five sons, Henry and Adolph of Sioux City, John and Andrew of Moville and Louis of Rushmore, Minn; 3 daughters, Mrs. Marie Waddell of Sergeant Bluf and Mrs. Alice Paulsen of Worthington, Minn. and Mrs. Pauline Green of DosPlas, Calif. a brother, Andrew Biersworth of Anthon; 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lohse were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Climbing Hill Baptist Church.

A daughter, Miss Minerva, preceded her in death, December 31, 1957.
