Margaret Jeanine Nassiff, 62, of Sioux City died Sunday, November 23, 1997 in Rochester, Minnesota, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Morningside Church of Christ, with the Rev. Larry Lane officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nassiff was born December 19, 1934, in Wayne, Nebraska, the daughter of Harry and Lillie Swinney. She graduated from Wayne High School.

She married George Nassiff on July 9, 1954. The couple made their home in Sioux City.

She was employed with Penn Corp. and later National Health Care Discounters as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of Morningside Church of Christ, where she served as organist and pianist. She was a Morningside little League promoter.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters and their husbands, Karen and Greg Miller of Sioux City and Kathy and Matt Wentz of Beaver City, Nebraska; two sons, Jeff of Kansas City, Missouri and David and his wife, Tamara of Ankeny, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, Steven, Melanie, Daniel and Patricia Miller, Elisa, Danielle, Justin and Tiara Wentz and Emily, Jared, Brennan and Samuel Nassiff; two brothers and their wives, Elvin and Mary Swinny of Panama City, Florida and Pat and Dolly Swinney of Sacramento, California; a sister, Marjorie Jarvill of South Sioux City and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Warren and Harry Jr., and two infant children.

Pallbearers will be Jon Culver, Bob Newburn, Walt Clark, Jon Roberts, Bill Barth, Cliff Markowshy, Pat Hansel and Merlen Jarvill.

A memorial has been established.
