Mrs. Caroline Maynard, 90 years old, a resident of Sioux City for five years, died at the home of her son, C.F. Maynard, 1603 Ross Street, Sunday. The cause of death was given as senility.

Mrs. Maynard was born in Indiana December 25, 1832. Early in life she moved to Ohio and received her education in the schools of that state.

In 1851 she moved to Freeport, Illinois where she married Mr. Maynard. She lived there for several years, moving in 1881 to Vermillion, South Dakota. From there she went to a farm near Burbank, South Dakota.

Until her husband’s death, five years ago, Mrs. Maynard lived on this farm. After Mr. Maynard died she came to Sioux City and made her home with her son.

Surviving her are three sons, C.F. Maynard, Sioux City; William Maynard, Oakland, California and Fred Maynard, Correll, Minnesota and two daughters, Mrs. Alma Nichols, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Mrs. Hattie Bennett, Galena, Illinois.

The body was removed to the Perasso undertaking parlors, where it is being held pending the arrival of her son, William, from California. Funeral arrangements will be made upon his arrival.
