Onawa, Iowa—Ellna F. Folkers, 80, of Onawa, died Saturday, September 7, 1991 at her residence after a long illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Smithland, with the Rev. David H. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Little Sioux Township Cemetery at Smithland. Visitation will be after noon today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Willman Funeral Home in Rodney.

Mrs. Folkers was born July 6, 1911, in rural Smithland, the daughter of Ralph and Margaret (Yockey) Cory. She taught in rural schools and also in Oto and Smithland. She married William J. Folkers May 16, 1950 in Smithland. The couple farmed north of Smithland until moving to Onawa in 1974.

Mrs. Folkers was member of the United Methodist Church of Onawa.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ralph and his wife, Jerrie of Storm Lake; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Maurine) Myrtue of Smithland, two brothers, Gordon and his wife, Hazel, of Geyserville, California and John and his wife, Helen of Wisner, Nebraska and three granddaughters, Ellen, Katie and Jean, all of Storm Lake.
