Christian Reitzel Had Lived in Sioux City 28 Years

Christian Reitzel Died 1920

Christian Reitzel, 81 years old, a resident of Sioux City for the last twenty-eight years, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.J. Wallen, 1626 Morningside Avenue, following a second stroke of paralysis suffered Saturday.

Mr. Reitzel was born July 30, 1839, in Dauphin County, Pa. He was a member of the One Hundred and Seventy-seventh Pennsylvania Infantry during the Civil war. He came to Sioux City from Mitchell, South Dakota. Mrs. Reitzel died November 15, 1915, nearly one year after they had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
