Hugh R. Dealy 1881 – 1939

Funeral services for Hugh R. Dealy, 57, of 1800 Rebecca, widely known real estate man, will be conducted Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church. Rev. Linus La Velle will officiate and burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Maurice, Iowa will be directed by the O’Toole-Gunn Funeral Home.

Mr. Dealy died unexpectedly Saturday after suffering a heart attack while riding in an automobile at Jefferson, South Dakota with a son, Kenneth.

The body was taken to the resident Sunday, where it will remain until time for service. Members of the Altar Society of St. Boniface Catholic Church will gather at 8:45 p.m. Monday to recite the rosary.

Born December 24, 1881, at Ireton, Sioux County, Iowa, Mr. Dealy had been a resident of Sioux City the last 22 years. He had been a realtor for the last 30 years.

Survivors include his widow, Mayme, three sons, H. Robert Dealy, James F. Dealy and Kenneth Dealy, all of Sioux City; a daughter, Miss Myrne Dealy of Sioux City, five brothers, Frank Dealy of Spokane, Washington and E.L. Dealy, W.C. Dealy, Dr. D.M. Dealy and J.L. Dealy all of Sioux City and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Lynott of Sioux City.
