John N. Pike 1857 – 1939

Funeral services for John N. Pike, 81, resident of Plymouth County since 1876, will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Westcott-Doughty-Chandler Funeral Home. Rev. G.D. Serrill will officiate and burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Mr. Pike died Sunday in his Hancock Township farm home.

Mr. Pike was born in Page County, Iowa, May 24, 1857, where he grew to manhood. He married Sylvie Keagle December 25, 1881. She died nine years ago.

Survivors include a son, H.G. Pike of Westfield, Iowa, four daughters, Mrs. Clara Rusk, Flandreau, South Dakota, Mrs. Floy Derochie, Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Mrs. Glennie McCampbell, Sioux City and Mrs. Grace Weber, Westfield; three brothers, W.M. Pike, Westfield, Albert Pike, Valentine, Nebraska and Edward Pike, Los Angeles, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
