Mrs. Rosa Bennett

Mrs. Rosa M. Bennett, 78, of 1500 Morningside Avenue, died Saturday in a local hospital, after an operation.

Mrs. Bennett moved here from Oto, Iowa, 25 years ago. She was a member of the D.A.R. and the Women’s Relief Corps.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elva Cradit, Bellflower, California; a brother, Rev. J. Naismith of New York State and two grandchildren.

The body is in Richard’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rosa M. Bennett

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa M. Bennett, 78, of 1500 Morningside Avenue, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Richard’s Funeral Home. Rev. Frank G. Bean and the Woman’s Relief corps will have charge of the services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Mrs. Bennett was born April 1, 1861 in Plattesville, Wisconsin and was married there to M.J. Bennett in 1882. The couple moved to Oto, Iowa in 1903. Mrs. Bennett moved to Sioux City in 1919, after the death of her husband.

Mrs. Bennett was a past president of the Woman’s Relief corps and a member of the D.A.R., the Delphians, Isis Chapter, O.E.S. and the White Shrine.
