Cecil Gantt

Cecil Gantt, about 60, widely known Hawarden, Iowa attorney, died Tuesday night in his home after three year’s illness of paralysis. The body is in Christy’s Funeral Home in Morningside.

Mr. Gantt, a bachelor, was a member of the Hawarden Elks lodge. Survivors include five brothers, Kenneth, Mack and Ted all of Casper, Wyoming, Roland of Mojave, California and Robert of Sioux City and two sisters, Mrs. Winifred Wood of Pasadena, California and Mrs. Paul Weaver of Ithaca, New York. Mr. Gantt was an uncle of Mrs. Robert Munger of Sioux City.

Funeral service for Cecil Gantt, about 60, Hawarden, Iowa, attorney, will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in Christy’s Chapel in Morningside with Rev. W.R. Moore of Morningside Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. The Hawarden Legion post and firing squad will participate in the graveside services.

Mr. Gantt, a bachelor, died Tuesday night in his home after suffering from paralysis for three years.
