Mrs. James H. Whittemore

Funeral services for Mrs. James H. Whittemore, 71, former prominent worker in local church and aocial circles, who died Friday at Evanston, Illinois, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Rev. F.B. Shaner officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery under direction of the Westcott-Doughty-Chandler Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Charles Flanley, Stanley Eales, Ralph Gaynor, William McCorkindale, J.O. Knudson and Robert Beatty.

Mrs. Whittemore died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.T. Reynolds at Evanston with whom she and her husband had been making their home the last two years since moving from their family home here at 2110 Jackson.

Survivors include her widower; six children, Mrs. Charles Ibach of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Reynolds of Evanston, Osgood Whittemore of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mrs. MacBean of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Prof. John W. Whittemore of the University of Virginia faculty at Blacksburg, Virginia and Mrs. Leigh A. Wallace of Great Falls, Mont., and two brothers, Louis B. Weed of McAllen, Texas and Harry Weed of Birstol, Wisconsin.
