John J. Gray

John J. Gray, 49, of 2217, an employee of the city streets department, died Monday in a local hospital. The body is in Larkin’s Funeral Home. Mr. Gray, born November 4, 1889, in Pennsylvania, had resided in Sioux City the last 12 years.

Survivors include his widow, Margaret and seven step-daughters, Mrs. James Cosmona and Miss Wilma Draper, both of Chicago, Mrs. Frances Redius and the Misses Josephine, Bertha Rita and Mildred Draper, all of Sioux City.

Funeral services for John J. Gray, 49, of 2217 First, employee of the city streets department, will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. T.M. Parle officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery under direction of Larkin’s Funeral Home. Mr. Gray died Monday in a local hospital after an illness of several weeks.
