Samuel A. Stinson- Buried Sioux City

Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, South Sioux City, Nebraska for Samuel A. Stinson, 79, pioneer Dakota County, Nebraska, school teacher and proprietor of a general merchandise store at Dakota City, Nebraska, 50 years. Rev. J. Quinn will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery here.

The body of Mr. Stinson, who died after a heart attack, Saturday, was taken to his home in Dakota City, Nebraska, Sunday night from Perasso Brothers Funeral Home, Sioux City.

Born July 17, 1859 in Marshallsville, Ohio, Mr. Stinson had lived in Dakota County since 1884. He married Miss Mary J. Gibble in Jackson, Nebraska, October 21, 1886. He was a member of St. Michael’s Church.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Hallisey, Dakota City and Mrs. Edward Dixon, Jefferson, Iowa and three sons, John W. of Los Angeles, Guy of Norfolk, Nebraska and Samuel G. of Minneapolis and 10 grandchildren.
