Mrs. George Wickey Dies After Becoming Sick While Walking
Stricken while walking with a woman companion Thursday night in the 1200 block on Fourth Street, Mrs. George Wickey, 25, 1702 Fifth Street, died before medical aid could be summoned.
The cause of death was not immediately determined and Deputy Coroner P.W. Osincup said that the coroner’s office would conduct a postmortem at Anderson’s Funeral Home late today.
At the time she was stricken, Mrs. Wickey was walking with Mrs. Mary Haddad, 1706 Fifth Street.
Joseph Davidchek, 2812 Correctionville road, a passerby, carried the stricken woman into a nearby tavern. When police arrived, she was dead.
Survivors include the widower, believed to be in the army, and a 7-year-old daughter.
