Mrs. Minnie R. King, 78, lifelong resident of the Hornick area, died unexpectedly in her sleep early Monday at her home.

Born in Woodsfield, Ohio, September 7, 1878, she was married to Clyde King at Hornick February 28, 1900.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Clifford of Hornick and Allen of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Alvina Burkhart of Sioux City, a brother, Herman Steinhoff of Smithland and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Claus of Smithland, Mrs. Alvina Eichorn of Rodney and Mrs. Yetta Cox of Onawa.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hornick Methodist Church with Rev. Forest Clark and Rev. Henry Held officiating. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery under direction of the Hilts Funeral Home of Sloan.
