Andree Ann Adamsen, 68, a long time resident of Marshalltown, Iowa, raised in Correctionville, Iowa, passed away at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 3, 2006.

After a private ceremony, a celebration of her life will be held in Las Vegas.

Andree was a founding member of the Marshalltown Chapter of the Sweet Adeline’s, a consultant to the Barbershop Chorus (SPEBSQSA), American Business Women’s Association member, Instructor at Marshalltown Community College and Buena Vista University and inducted into Who’s Who in American Education, as well as Marshalltown Community Theatre and American Kidney Foundation volunteer.

Survivors include three children, Michael (Becky) Schwake, Nevada, Iowa, Debra (James) Kopel, Marshalltown and Andrew Schwake, Douglasville, Ga., three grandchildren, Nathan Schwake, Lexington, Kentucky, Adam (Holly) Levis, State Center, Iowa and Danielle Curly, Marshalltown; three great-grandchildren, Janessa Danner, Deven and Ayden Levis; four brothers, Alan A. Adamsen, Lake Havasu, Az., Andy A. Adamsen, Whittier, Ca., Austin A. Adamsen and Arnold A. Adamsen, both of Las Vegas; cousins Kaye Thomas and Belva Markusen and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Arlan, a sister Marge and a great grandson, Keegan Levis.
