Josephine Miller, 91, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Graceland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to RUOLBA@aol.com.

Josephine Valeika (Josepha Wolejko) was born May 11, 1915, in Sioux City, the daughter of Joseph and Bernice "Brona" (Osowska) Valeika. She was raised in Sioux City and was a life long resident.

She was married to Martin Bailey, Robert Olsen Sr. and Earl Miller. She was a housewife and worked at Security National Bank in the transit department for a few years.

She attended Morningside Lutheran Church and St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Mary Ann Clark and Julie Dapp, both of California; two sons, Robert Olsen Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and A.C. Gerald Martin Bailey Olsen and his wife, Lavelle of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lori King and her husband, Glenn of Florida and Christian and Cynthia Olsen of California; two great-grandchildren, Jackie and Alex King of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jay Bailey Olsen; and a brother, Joseph Uknis.
