Reva Nadine Anderson, 84, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at her residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Roger D. Graf of Morningside Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Blencoe, Iowa, the daughter of John D. and Lillian (Harris) Comfort. She grew up and graduated from high school in 1941 in Blencoe. She had been a resident of Sioux City since 1941.

She was united in marriage to Harold "Jack" Anderson on Aug. 16, 1942, in Ponca, Neb. She was a beautician for many years, then a teachers aide at Nodland Elementary School for 16 years. Mr. Anderson died Sept. 26, 1999.

She was a member of Morningside Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening and all Hawkeye sports.

Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Caldwell of Dallas, Texas; two sons, John Anderson and his wife, Rita and Jim Anderson, all of Sioux City; a daughter-in-law, Jane Anderson of Des Moines; six grandchildren, Marty Sitzmann of Dallas, Texas, Scott Sitzmann of Houston, Texas, Jason Anderson of Boise, Idaho, Brenda Anderson of Sioux City, Christopher Anderson of Sioux City and Matthew Anderson of Sioux City; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Nelson of Kingsley, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Jack" Anderson; her parents; and an infant brother, John Dennis Comfort.

Pallbearers will be four grandsons, Marty Sitzmann, Scott Sitzmann, Jason Anderson and Matthew Anderson and Dewaine Anderson and Benjamin Edwards.
