Jeffrey Adam Koehn, 37, of Kingsley, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moville United Methodist Church in Moville, Iowa. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with family present 5 to 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Jeffrey was born on July 28, 1980, in Cherokee, Iowa, the son of Larry and Terri (Daly) Koehn. He was raised in Moville, attending school and graduating from Woodbury Central in 1999. Jeff continued his education at Western Iowa Tech Community College and received a degree in ag business.

He married Kara Penning on March 16, 2013, in Moville. They made their home on the farm near Kingsley. Over the years, Jeff farmed on the family farm. He also drove truck for some local businesses.

Jeff was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville and Ducks Unlimited. He lived and breathed hunting. His favorites were duck, goose, pheasant and deer. Jeff was also a Hawkeye and Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include his wife, Kara Koehn of Kingsley; son, Hunter Koehn; daughter, Jaycee Koehn; parents, Larry and Terri Koehn of Moville; brother, Chris (Merideth) Koehn of Minneapolis; niece and nephew, Quincy Koehn and Rory Koehn; father in-law, Daniel Penning of Remsen, Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Melany (John) Roling of Remsen, Tena Leners of Sioux City, and Dawn (Jim) Boeshart of Sioux City; and three brothers-in-law, Talon (Anita) Penning of Remsen, Casey (Amy) Penning of Remsen, and Kevin (Jenny) Penning of Le Mars, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and mother-in-law, Janet Penning.
