Stanley L. Florke, 63, of Sioux City, died Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his residence.

A time of sharing will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Stanley Lee Florke was born on March 10, 1954, in Sioux City, the son of Leroy and Lois (Foster) Florke. Stanley served in the U.S. Army.

On Oct. 8, 1993, Stanley was united in marriage to Linda Steemken. During the years, Stanley worked construction, drove truck and later worked at several area scrap yards. Most recently he was a self-employed mechanic.

Stanley enjoyed fishing and camping, especially at Lake Francis Case and Lake Andes in South Dakota. He also enjoyed camping near Elk Point during the summers.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Phillip Florke and Micheal (Katy) Florke; a stepson, Joseph (Holly) Smith; daughters, Rebecca Hudson, Carol Florke, and Lisa Peck; stepdaughters, Angela Smith and Amanda (Terrance) Hayes; 12 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; his brothers, Ron (Pam) Florke and Randy Florke; and his sisters, Virginia Waugh, Mary Cantrell, Aleas (Clyde) Erie and Barb (Steve) Terrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jay Divis and James Florke; and one brother, Steve Florke.
