Jack A. Seibert, 88, of Sioux City died Monday, January 24, 2000 at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Donohue Sarff of Morningside Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Seibert was born January 21, 1912 in Sioux City, the son of Newton and Vesta (Auman) Seibert. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1946.

He married Wilma E. DuBray on March 10, 1943 in Sioux City. She died August 2, 1991, in Sioux City.

He was employed as a salesman with Wells Blue Bunny for many years, retiring in 1981.

He was a former member of First Baptist Church and a member of Tyrian Masonic Lodge 508.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Margaret Ann and Paul Meloy of Dakota Dunes; three brothers and their wives, Robert and Esther of Sioux City, William and Ann of California and Frank and Dorothy of Washington; a sister and her husband, Betty Ann and Harold Wagner of McCook Lake, S.D. and two step-grandchildren, Holly Kenny and Jackie Meloy.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Davis and Carolyn Bohles.

Pallbearers will be Dan and Dwight Conway, Fred Mersch, Tony Drake, Dick Harper and Ron Bergeson.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
