Sloan, Iowa -- Arza James Craig, 78, of Phoenix, formerly of Sloan, died Friday, December 31, 1999 in Arizona.

Services were held January 4, 2000, at Chapel of the Chimes in Glendale, Arizona.

Mr. Craig was born in Salix, Iowa, the son of John B. and Keturah Craig. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired meat processor.

He was a member of American Legion Monahan Post 64 in Sioux City.

Survivors include his wife, June, four daughters, Carol Twyford, Sally Ann Nottingham, Kim Johnson and Tina Bensfield, a son, John; three sisters, Dorothy Stanley and Margaret Paul, both of Sloan and Opal Stanley of Sioux City; two brothers, Robert and Tom, both of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.
