29 January 2000Violet Berneice Asmussen, 86, of Deltona, Florida formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, December 16, 1999 in Deltona.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2000 in Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City.
Mrs. Asmussen was born November 4, 1913 in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Ethel Gasser. She graduated from Central High School in 1932.
She married Henry Asmussen in Sioux City. She was a homemaker. The couple moved to Deltona in 1963.
She was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star Isis Chapter, where she was named Worthy Marton in 1960.
Survivors include two nieces, Barbara Gould of Sioux City and Carol Mae Eggert of Arizona and a nephew, Dr. Frederick G. Asmussen of Dubuque, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Edith Brewer.
