Warren Allen Lindgren, 82, of Sioux City died Wednesday, March 25, 1998 at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tri-State Christian Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Phillip Olsen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Berkemier Funeral Home.

Mr. Lindgren was born October 30, 1916 in Laurel, Nebraska, the son of Aaron and Letta (Meyers) Lindgren. He was raised in Laurel and attended school there. He moved to South Shore, S.D. as a young man. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Helen L. Scott on February 24, 1942, in Seattle, wash. The coupe resided in Sioux City, where he was employed by the City of Sioux City as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1978. She died May 10, 1987.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Elaine and Robert Cogdill of Sioux City; two sons and their wives, Charlie and Sue of Aurelia, Iowa and Wayne and Susan of Moville, Iowa; a brother and his wife, Clayton and Delores of South Shore, S.D.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rodney, John and Mark Lindgren, Chip Molstad, Loyd and Todd Cogdill.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmas and Murray Lindgren.
