3 October 2005Margaret Jeffs, 95, of Sioux City died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, in Sioux City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Margaret was born on July 21, 1910, in Union County, Iowa, to Edgar Theodore and Iva Myrtle (Stevens) Thompson. She grew up and attended school in Lorimor, Iowa.
On Aug. 9, 1936, she married Herold Clayton "Jack" Jeffs in Lorimor. The couple then moved to Sioux City in 1936 and had lived here ever since.
Survivors include her children, Richard Jeffs of Sioux City and Mary Larson of Denmark, Wis.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Doris Rickets of Winterset, Iowa and Ethel Jeffs of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Herold in 1985.
