Laura B. Carroll, 101, of Sioux City died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at Morningside Nursing and Rehab Center.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday in Floyd Valley Cemetery at rural Hinton, Iowa, with the Rev. Jason Gutzmer, pastor of Hinton United Methodist Church, officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Laura was born July 17, 1904, in Hinton, the daughter of James and Anna (Parker) Early.

She was married to Alfred Doras Carroll. Mr. Carroll died in 1960 at Sioux City. Laura spent most of her married life in Sioux City. Her last employment was at Hallmark Care Center.

Laura loved to work and shop.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Peg Carroll of Hinton; two grandsons, Michael Carroll and his wife, Maureen of Le Mars, Iowa, and Dennis Carroll of Las Vegas, Nev.; five great-grandchildren, Chad Carroll and his wife, Amy, Adam Carroll, Elizabeth Brent and her husband, Monte, Haley Carroll and Austin Carroll; four great-great-grandsons; a great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Delmar Carroll and Donald Carroll; four brothers; and three sisters.
