Patrick C. Jacobson, 50, Des Moines a former Sioux Cityan, died Monday, September 2, 1996 at his home.

Private family services and burial will be in Minnesota. The Caldwell-Raddatz-Hickman Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.

Mr. Jacobson was born in Sioux City. He grew up in Dakota City and moved to Sioux City in 1964 following graduation for South Sioux City High School. He had resided in Des Moines since 1993.

Mr. Jacobson worked at Terra Chemicals for 20 years and was employed with Smart industries at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Jacobson of Sioux City; his mother, Helen A. Garthright of South Sioux City; his father, Harry C. Jacobson of Waubun, Minn.; six sons, Patrick and his wife, Genny, of Kingsland, Ga., Thomas and his wife, Stacey, of San Diego, California, John and his wife, Teresa of Bremerton, Wash, and Paul, Daniel and Mitchell, all of Sioux City; a stepson and his wife, Eric and Micki Cook of New Hampton, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Jill Cook of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Austin Cook and Randall, Alyssa, Tyler, Hannah, Sean and Ian Jacobson; three brothers, Mike Garthright and Bob and his wife, Ann Jacobson, All of Clinton, Okla. and Jack Garthright of South Sioux City; two sisters, Carol and her husband, Gary Albert of Parksville, Mo., and Mary Ellen Bartels of Seattle, Wash.
