Helen Bielski, 91, of Sioux City died Tuesday, October 15, 1996 at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Doran, pastor of First Evangelical Free Church officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonel Chapel.

Mrs. Bielski was born August 20, 1905, in Sioux City, the daughter of Charles and Antonia (Macola) Marek. She was a lifelong resident of the Westside area of Sioux City.

She married John Bielski, November 10, 1929, in Pipestone, Minn. He died November 21, 1987 in Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, John of Sioux City and Robert and his wife, Georgie of Pocahontas, Ark; two sisters, Agnes Madsen of Sioux City and Edna Teichert of Sioux City; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Craig, Blaine and Darien Bielski.
