7 March 2017SIOUX CITY | Capt. Gordon Charles Schneiders (Ret.), 83, of Arcadia, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, passed peacefully Thursday, March 2, 2017.
Services will be March 9 and 10 at Douglass & Zook Mortuary in Monrovia, Calif.
He was born in Sioux City. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954. He moved to Arcadia in 1954. He married Yolanda Kohl on May 25, 1957. They had three children, Marie, Ray and Linda.
He joined the Arcadia Police Department in 1963, worked his way up the ranks and retired as a captain in 1986. Yolanda passed in 2004.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Hoover; his brother, Tom Schneiders; his three children; and his grandchildren, Brent, Brittney and Kevin.
