SIOUX CITY | Gaylene K. Bobier-Nicolls, 69, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at her residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Ponca City Cemetery, Ponca, Neb. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, with the family present at 6 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Gaylene was born on Jan. 15, 1948, in Waxachachie, Texas, the daughter of Harry and Betty (McIntyre) White. Her family moved to Iowa and she graduated from Lawton High School in Lawton, Iowa. She then attended North Central University in Minneapolis. She moved to Arkansas, where she worked in a children's home.

Gaylene married Alton Tankersley. They were blessed with a daughter, Tiffany. She moved to the Sioux City area in the late 1980s and worked as a nurse's aide. She married Donald Bobier in 1992. Donald passed away in 2003. Gaylene married Dwayne Nicolls in 2014.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, where she enjoyed singing with the Worship Team. She also enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons, walking with her friends, going for long drives in the country and her monthly outings with her Lawton High School alumni friends.

Survivors include her husband, Dwayne Nicolls of Sioux City; daughter, Tiffany (Bill) Harvat of Omaha; grandsons, Jude and Harry Harvat; stepchildren, Theresa (Sean) Ring, Jaime Nicolls and Jeremy Nicolls; stepgrandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Rachel, Paige, Isaac and Malaine; and a sister, Becky White of Burnsville, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bobier; her parents, Harry and Betty White; and an infant brother, David.
