SIOUX CITY | Kathy R. Bubb, 71, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at a local hospital after a long illness.

Abiding by Kathy's wishes, there will be no services and cremation has taken place. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Kathy was born June 24, 1945, in Sioux City, the daughter of Elmer and Geraldine (Mongar) Provost. She married Michael Church and to that union, two children were born, Lisa and Mike. In 1972, Mike Sr. passed away. Kathy then married William Bubb on July 6, 1973.

Kathy worked at Westwood Nursing Home and Julia's Valley Manor in housekeeping for over 25 years.

During her leisure time, she enjoyed going to various casinos, bingo and fishing. Most of all, she loved being with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Bill; daughter, Lisa Church of Sioux City; son, Mike (Kathie) Church of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Christy Stafford, Ryan (Jess) Stafford, Stephanie Stafford, Jessica Church, Nicole Church and Kelsey Church; five great-grandchildren, Elise, Amelia, Christian, Leo and Erik; brother, LeeRoy (Kathy) Provost of Sioux City; sister, Sheila Lias of Sioux City; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike; two sisters; and two brothers.
