Roland "Rollie" Wessling

Roland "Rollie" Wessling, 61, of LaQuinta, California and formerly of Danbury, Iowa, passed away in California on August 9, 2005, at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 14 days.

A Memorial Services was held on Wednesday, September 7, 2005, in Armstrong Chapel at Mapleton. Officiating was Rev. Terry Roder. Interment was in Danbury Catholic Cemetery at Danbury.

Armstrong Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.

Roland Eugene Wessling was born on August 25, 1943, in Danbury, Iowa, the son of Herman and Cecelia “Pat” Wessling. Rollie married Luzetta Gosch. In May of 1964, they moved to Southern California where he spent most of his adult life.

Survivors include his mother, Pat Wessling who resides in Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa; two sons, Richard and his wife, Cindy Wessling of Tyler, Texas and Allen Wessling of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandsons, Brian, Anthony and Trevor, and two granddaughters, Alysha and Katrina.

Rollie was preceded in death by his father, Herman Wessling, and two brothers, Michael Wessling and Roger Wessling.
