Katherine Louise Williams, 57, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2005, in Portland.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Christy-Smith Berkemier Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Wolff officiating. There will be private burial services. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Katherine was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Mary Roberta Craig. She was baptized at Riverside Lutheran Church. She was raised in Sioux City and attended public schools here, graduating from Riverside High School in 1966. Katherine was employed by Aalfs Manufacturing as a seamstress for more than 25 years. She moved to Portland three years ago.

Katherine loved being a parent to her son. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, going for long walks and playing bingo.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Roberta Craig of Portland; a son, David Scott Williams of Arlington, Texas; two brothers and their wives, Doug and Teresa Craig and Robert and Lori Craig, all of Portland; two sisters, Karen Lipinski and her husband, Jim of Sioux City and Janice Craig of Spencer, Iowa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Craig; two brothers, Danny and Jeffery Craig; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
