Betty L. Robbins, 81, of Des Moines, formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines. Entombment will be in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Betty was born in Sioux City, where she graduated from Central High School. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Rose Croix Chapter in Sioux City. She had lived in Des Moines since 1963.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Terry) Henderson of Des Moines; a grandson, Jon Henderson of Des Moines and his sons, Craig and Tyelor; a grandson, Scott (Veronica) Henderson of Des Moines and their children, Alyssa and Krisjan; sisters-in-law, Mary Hatcher of Eckert, Colo., and Vernice Riggs of Missouri; a brother-in-law, Dale Robbins of Spirit Lake, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Robbins in 2002; her parents, Walter and Jesse Hatcher; a sister, Grace Olson; and a brother, Walter Francis Hatcher.

Memorials may be directed to the Shriners Hospital for Children/Twin Cities.
