Carol Lynn Keil, 54, of Sioux City went home to be with Jesus Monday, Sept. 12, 2005.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Assembly of God, with the Rev. Tom Jacobs officiating. Visitation with the family present will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Carol was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Marjorie (Anderson) Deviney. She lived in Sioux City her entire life, where she attended public schools. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1968.

She married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Keil, on May 23, 1970, in Sioux City. Following graduation from high school, she worked for five years as a bank teller. When she decided to start a family, she chose to stay at home and raise her children. As her children grew older, she started a day-care in her home. Over the years, she had the opportunity to be a part of many little lives. In her later years, she spent her time being a wonderful Grammy to her two precious grandchildren.

In 1978, she committed her life to God. She spent the rest of her life in a relationship trusting, loving and serving him. She was a member of Morningside Assembly of God and her passion was worshipping her creator.

Those left behind include her husband, Dennis R. Keil of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Grady and Jeni Keil of Sioux City; a daughter, Melissa Keil of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Cherle and Jamie Johnson of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Castin and Reagan; and her father-in-law, Earl Keil of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends.
