Shirley Rosdahl, 74, of Sioux City died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Chapel.

Shirley was born Dec. 7, 1931, in Laurel, Neb., to Lloyd and Mable (Kuhnhenn) Dolph. She grew up in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School. She moved to Sioux City in 1945.

She worked at Wincharger until it closed. She then moved to California, where she worked at General Dynamics. She later transferred to Teradyn, where she was a supervisor in making computer chips. She retired to Palm Springs, Calif., then moved to Sun City West, Ariz. for three years. She came back to Sioux City one year ago to be closer to family.

She will be remembered by her many friends, she loved everyone she was around. She enjoyed her flower garden and her trusted dog, Murfy.

She is survived by three sisters, Juanita McDonald of Norfolk, Neb., Carol and her husband, Merrill Bailey, of Central City, Neb., and Beverly and her husband, Joe West, of Sioux City; three brothers and their wives, Richard and Jeanette Dolph of Geneva, Neb., David and Liz Dolph of Elkhorn, Neb., and Jim and Carla Erwin of Laurel, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donavan; a sister, Barbara; a brother-in-law, Harold McDonald; aunts, uncles; and her beloved dog, Murfy.
