Dolores A. Kopal-Hildahl, 89, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at Holy Spirit Assisted Living in Sioux City.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Craig Collison officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. today at Larkin Northside Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 4 p.m. today, with a Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 4 p.m., and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church. Visitation will resume 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Dolores was born Feb. 12, 1916, in Hartington, Neb., the daughter of Fred and Theresa (Uhing) Wiebelhaus. She was raised in Bow Valley, Neb., and Hartington. She attended school in Hartington.

She married Joseph Kopal on Sept. 4, 1939, in Sioux City. He died July 22, 1979, in Omaha. On March 17, 1984, she married Bill Hildahl in Omaha. he died Sept. 26, 1995, in Sioux City.

She had worked at the Park Bowl, First National Bank and for many years with her husband, Joe, in his marble business, Kopal Marble Company.

She was a former member of St. Casimir's Catholic Church and the church Rosary Society. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Ave Maria Court. She loved gardening, canning, shopping and traveling, but the most important thing in her life was enjoying and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include five daughters and their husbands, Joanne and Jon Olson of Dakota Dunes, S.D., Diane and George Donnelly of Elk Point, S.D., Jolane and Phil Armstrong of Ponca, Neb., Donna and Terry Vitzthum of Bayard, Iowa, and JoEllen and Garry Slota of Spencer, Iowa; a son and his wife, Joseph and Shavonne Kopal of Sioux City; 19 grandchildren, Carol Conrad, Kelly Blessing, Brent Olson, Michaleen Lamson, Anne Ellwanger, Chuck Donnelly, Kim Rasmussen, Cory Donnelly, Greg Armstrong, Paula Peters, Dan Armstrong, Casey Armstrong, Ryan Vitzthum, Jenny Vitzthum, Katie Kopal, Josie Kopal, Tammi Hoy, Mark Slota and Aaron Slota; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Dan and Mary Wiebelhaus of Fordyce, Neb.; a sister, Rita Holcomb of Sioux City; three sisters-in-law, Wallie Wiebelhaus of Center, Neb., Beverly and her husband, John Riib of Wynot, Neb., and Joyce and her husband, Charles Kelliher of Port Richey, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, Andrew Hildahl of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; an infant daughter, Dolores; a son-in-law, Ed Kudron; three brothers, John in infancy, Herman and Frederick; six sisters, Julia Ketter, Olivia Schieffer, Florentine Reifenrath, Edna Cook, Elsie Waddell and Agatha Kleinschmit.

Pallbearers will be her nine grandsons.
