Margaret L. Barnes, 57, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Central Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Boyd Hoferman officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Anderson-Perasso Chapel.

Margaret L. Barnes was born May 24, 1948, in Sioux City, the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Ruebottom) Christian. She was a lifelong Sioux City resident.

She married Milton D. Barnes on June 17, 1965, in Hartington, Neb. She was employed with Apex in South Sioux City at the time of her death.

Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Milton; six children, Toni Lueck and her husband, Jim, Ronda Carter and Jason Wosje, Barbara Dolezal and her husband, Duane, Jillian Barnes and Mike Graves, Joe Barnes and Mandi Bradford and Zackary Barnes and Tiffany Hanley, all of Sioux City; a brother, Bob Christian and his wife, Rita of Sioux City; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons; and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Benny Barnes, Ben Barnes Jr., Trent Nelson, Rick Nelson, Ryan Barnes and Jim Lueck.
