Helen E. Lollich, 93, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Luther Manor in Dubuque.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clinton, Iowa, with her great-nephew, the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home in Dubuque. Visitation will resume 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Helen was born July 5, 1912, in Calamus, Iowa, the daughter of Marion and Bessie Johnson. After graduating from Clinton High School, she was employed as a secretary.

She married John C. Lollich on Sept. 5, 1936, at St. Ireneus Church in Clinton. They moved to Sioux City in 1946, where they raised three children. She worked as a nurse's assistant at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for 27 years. In 1983, she moved to Dubuque, where she joined a widow's group and made many friends.

She was a beautiful seamstress, an avid reader and a wonderful baker, especially of cookies and pies.

Survivors include her children, Martha (Arden) Kirkpatrick of Oro Valley, Ariz., Nancy (Dr. Thomas) Lally of East Dubuque, Ill., and Michael of Reno, Nev.; five grandchildren, Thomas Lally of Iowa City, Iowa, Eric (Trudy) Lally of Dubuque, Margaret (Jonathan) Heim of West Des Moines, Aaron (Karen) Lollich of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Megan Lollich of Euless, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Heim; a sister, Jeanne Lehnert of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Richard Timmer of Clinton, Iowa; and a stepsister, Jane Lockhart of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a stepbrother, Jack Holle; and a son-in-law, William Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Luther Manor in Dubuque.
